Frame it once, frame it right

You may not be thinking about protection when you’re anxious to put a nice piece of art on the wall.  But we see the tragic results of saving a few dollars and cutting corners — and ignoring protection — all the time.  We see frame jobs using acidic glue and mats, non UV glass, cheap moulding, and shoddy workmanship when folks bring in damaged, sometimes falling apart, pieces framed by discount framers — asking us if we can repair. (see images, below)

We often can repair or reframe, but it is almost always cheaper to frame it correctly the first time than to pay to have it done twice.

Even worse, often the artwork itself is damaged and faded, a terrible shame when that artwork is very valuable or irreplaceable. THAT we generally can’t fix.

The answer is to frame correctly the first time, at a real frame shop, preferably a local one so that you don’t risk damage to your artwork during shipping.

That’s what Fastframe Houston does.  It’s why we’re bonded and insured, and it’s why we stand behind our 100% satisfaction guarantee, and a lifetime guarantee on workmanship and materials.  We use only quality moulding, non-acidic glues, non-acidic mats, and UV glass on EVERYTHING we frame.  And, as part of our preservation system, we offer our customers free inspections of their artwork every three years.

We also offer even higher levels of protection and glass (i.e., museum grade protection) for particularly valuable and sentimental items.  In public displays such as office decor, for example, choosing museum glass is not just protective, but also dramatically cuts down on reflections, allowing the art to be viewed clearly from almost any angle.

Another important difference between a professional frame job and a shoddy one is that all of our framing is reversible, in other words, although our framing has protective sealing, art can be removed and and re-framed should your room decor change, or you simply change your mind.

We hope you’ll stop by our frame shops or give us a call and ask about how our framing differs from off the rack frames, or discount framing before you frame anything you care about. It will save you money in the long run!
